NHL's Winter Classic a Success

In case you guys don't know, I'm a fan of sports (especially hockey!). Today the NHL had their 2010 Winter Classic at Fenway Field in Boston. The last two Winter Classics have been (not boring) but not really emotional I guess you could say. This one though, was great. Lots of hitting, lots of rushes, hell... we even had the first Winter Classic fight between Dan Carcillo and Shawn Thornton. I gotta give it up to the refs though who put their whistles away for the most part and let them play hockey.

The Dropkick Murphy's performed to kick things off, then a ceremonial puck drop with an American Troop, Bobby Orr and Bobby Clarke.

After a scoreless first period, Danny Syvret drew the first goal for Philly. Recchi then tied it up at 1 with a decent goal. The game ended up going to overtime with Marco Sturm netting the game winner. Fans were going nuts. Just a great game... wish I could of been there (with a joint in hand) and also wearing my Colton Orr Leafs jersey haha (yes, I'm a leafs fan)! Anyways guys, hope you caught the game if not check the highlights. Stay Happy.
